Jacci McKenna, daughter of Carolyn McKenna Angle, has honored her mother's memory with a $1000 contribution to the International Golden Gift Leadership Fund.
Carolyn McKenna was president of Mu Chapter in 1986-1988.
Her leadership helped the chapter grow and participate in many community endeavors. She remained a reserve member after remarrying and moving to Illinois in the early 2000s.
Carolyn’s sense of service to others led her to help start the Patient Advocacy Team in Longmont helping the elderly. Her greatest gift was of her time and devotion in letting others know that she cared and that they were valued. She belonged to Kappa Delta Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma and PEO serving as an officer in many of these groups. In Dakota Carolyn joined the same Home Extension group that her mother had belonged to for over 50 years.
In Colorado Carolyn earned a Masters in Educationally Handicapped students from the University of Northern Colorado. She then began teaching learning disabled students which she continued until her retirement. After retirement Carolyn was a volunteer at two elementary schools in Longmont, working with students who needed help in reading.
While her bright eyes and broad smile are greatly missed she leaves with us her legacy of caring for others and a strong faith in God.
MU Chapter sincerely thanks Jacci McKenna and her mother for the support of our Chapter and the international Golden Gift Leadership Management Seminar, mini executive education training, held bi-annually in Austin, Texas, at the University of Texas, prestigious Mc Combs Business School.
